Hi, Nice to see someone saying it as it is.
Although we don’t race on drugs in the UK
Soundness of stallions doesn’t seem to be taken into account.
when breeding for the sales circus.
It would be good if breeders of the future had a list of these
stallions getting unsound stock, so improvements could be made
on both sides of the pond.
What we really need is 3 or4 new Round Tables.

Because half of that outstanding mare’s genes are wiped out in her daughter! “Sure, we’ve all heard of someone getting a superior runner out of a ‘nothing’ mare. The word ‘nothing( is totally Inappropriate. What really happened is the genes of an outstanding mare somewhere back in the pedigree were finally replenished with the correct cross or nick, . As a matter of fact few outstanding sires came from Blenheirn II. These are however broodmare Lines which did interest me. Quite frankly, I couldn’t care less about a sire’s racing ability. It just isn’t that important if I can see the necessary broodmare lines.”

Hi once again Floyd, I have received my paperback book Breeding Racehorses From Cluster mares by Dennis Craig from the bookstore in Great Britain. Landed it (with shipping) for around AUS$30.

Have been looking at Chelandry and if you go further back to her 9th dam Promise, she was by Snap who was from the same female line as Chelandry, the Byerley Turk Mare; her granddaughter Penelope added another Snap making 4×3; Penelope’s daughter Web added another line making 4x5x4 Snap. You probably knew this but I am finding it fascinating researching these lines.

Just got off the phone with Gwen Elliott who really enjoyed talking with you. She told me about your work in horses & gave me the website, of which I am looking at right now. Do you know Georgia King is also a horse person? I ‘m sure you know that. She is an expert in equestrian training of horse & rider. Her ambition was to work with horses & that is her whole life. She lives in Malibu.
